elsewhen (adv., rare) — at some other time.
There is an hour that belongs to nobody. Two, three, four in the morning. The petrol station lit like an operating theatre. The concourse with every shop shuttered. The stairwell nobody uses. You are technically somewhere, but not really anywhere.
ELSEWHEN makes clothes for that hour. Heavyweight cotton, quiet colours, printed with the language of empty places — departure boards, timestamps, exit signs, floorplans of rooms nobody is standing in.
Nothing exists until you order it. Every piece is printed to order at the facility nearest to your address, which means no warehouse, no overstock and nothing incinerated at the end of a season. It also means we can keep making new designs without betting the company on a print run.
Every design carries an edition number. It is not a scarcity trick — designs are not deleted. It is a record of the order things left in.
Everything goes to the contact page. We answer within one working day, though rarely at 03:00.
